1. Who we are

Maison Zola is a custom pet portrait studio operated from Mont de l'Enclus, Wallonia, Belgium. References to “we”, “us” and “Maison Zola” mean the legal entity behind maison-zola.com.

2. The service

We turn a photograph of your pet into a custom painted portrait in one of our studio styles. The free proof is a low-resolution preview; ordered prints, framed prints, and gallery canvases are produced on archival materials by our fulfilment partner and shipped to the address you provide at checkout.

3. Pricing and payment

Prices are listed in euro, inclusive of VAT, and are correct at the time of order. Payment is taken at checkout via Stripe; we do not see or store your card details. Launch pricing is honoured for the duration advertised on the site at the time you place your order.

4. Delivery

Standard delivery typically arrives within 5–10 business days in Europe and 7–14 in the United States; express options are available at checkout. Free EU shipping applies on orders over €99. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers or customs once an order has been dispatched.

5. Satisfaction guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your order, write to us within 30 days of delivery and we will remake it or refund it, your choice. We do not require return of the original. This is in addition to any statutory rights you have as a consumer under Belgian and EU law.

6. Intellectual property

You keep all rights to the source photograph you upload. By uploading you grant us a limited licence to use that photograph for the sole purpose of producing your portrait and fulfilling your order. You receive a personal-use licence to the resulting portrait suitable for printing, framing, gifting, and sharing on personal social media; commercial reproduction (resale, merchandise) is not included and requires separate agreement.

7. Acceptable use

Please only upload photographs you are authorised to share. Do not upload images of people without their consent, copyrighted material you do not own, or content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit. We may refuse to process an order at our discretion and will refund any payment in full if we do.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Belgian law. Subject to that, our total liability for any single order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tournai, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective version is the one published at this URL on the day you place your order.
